Education Group Practice

The primary mission of the Education Group Crisis Planning Practice is to work with boards and educators to ensure that institutions meet (and whenever possible exceed) requirements for risk management and crisis planning. In addition, the Group’s purpose is to establish long-term relationships with N&A to assist in real-time crises communications as well as review and upgrade crisis planning yearly. When a crisis occurs, the Nicolazzo & Associates team will be on site within hours.

The Group’s program includes the following elements: initial review and assessment of existing risk and crisis communications plans; one-on-one meetings with key school leaders to obtain detailed information on specific needs and potential gaps; crisis planning; development of detailed contingency crisis communications plans that can be utilized the moment a crisis occurs; quarterly meetings to review various issues/concerns and update plans as necessary; and provide ongoing counsel and be available 24/7 for assistance when crises situations arise.

The Education Group Practice team consists of Richard E. Nicolazzo, managing partner; Joe M. Grillo, partner; Michael Maher, senior consultant; and Barry Wanger, senior consultant.  Bios can be found on our website.
